Carribean Cruise May 2011 - Sea Sickness Question

I was recently asked another question about sea sickness on the board of the cruise ship. Does it happen, or due to modernity and size of the ships it is totally eliminated? Unfortunately it does occur. It also depends on your ancestry. For Olga, Alice and myself there was no single sign of sea sickness (to many S in the sentence :) ) , but we encountered people who suffered from it. There is a little round bandaid piece containing some slow release chemical substance to prevent it from happening, that was worn by some people I know suffered from sea sickness and that helped them a lot.
